SHREK PARTY
SHREK PARTY ILLUMINATES
HALLOWEEN - What a treat!!
On Saturday 31st October around 100 adults and children from 4 local churches joined forces to celebrate in style with a Shrek Party. A great time was had by all as they enjoyed fancy dress with prizes for the best man, woman, boy and girl. Themed games and crafts with plenty of goodies to win and take away, along with a quiz and drama to test observational skills added to the entertainment on offer.

Undeniably the best part of the night was the themed buffet where such delights as swamp stew with ogre brains, leeches on logs, mud pie, jelly with worms as well as a number of other horrible sounding dishes were received with some trepidation but there was no trickery on show here as they tasted delicious with many present quickly joining the queues for seconds!!!
The churches involved – ChristChurch, St. John’s, St Margaret’s & Holy Trinity, Rhostyllen – had arranged the event as an alternative Halloween party and all gathered agreed it had been a great success. Even better news is that £90 was raised for local charities and this will be donated to Dynamic - a Wrexham based charity that provides out of school activities for children and young people with special needs.
