Three Key Kingdom Dynamics

We have explored 3 key dynamics that Christ delivered to bring us the Kingdom with power – exodus, return from exile & the return of the king..
Then in turn we have seen 3 key dynamics of how God works through His people to bring the kingdom today – passion, prayer & kingdom action.
The King working through His loyal subjects to bring others into the rule & reign of God.
The Kingdom of God remains at hand. It is something that can be reached out for & grasped.

And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Matthew 10:7

“Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. 12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. Matthew 11:11-12

Jesus has accomplished all that is necessary for the kingdom to come in power.
It has come, is coming & is yet to come (fully). It has a great past, an amazing present & a most glorious future.
At this time & in this age Jesus operates through His body, the Church, to bring the kingdom to earth & to receive people into His kingdom.
He needs you & me to let people know about King Jesus & His glorious, beautiful kingdom.

We are primarily positioned to be Kingdom agents & gospel heralds.
We live in the age of the poured-out Spirit & also have the Spirit dwelling within us.
We are doubly blessed & most effectively equipped!!
That is why the least in the Kingdom is greater than John the Baptist.
We have all we need to fight the good fight (1 Timothy 1:18) & bring the Kingdom near to people.

The Kingdom of God comes to earth & advances forcefully as the faithful people of God GO & make know the gospel.
We are to declare that it is near & then demonstrate that reality so that people can experience it (taste & see).
You & I are tasked with being witnesses to this world so that the nations might be disciple (Matthew 28:16-20).
Let us go with courage, conviction & confidence for the Lord wishes to use us powerfully & this world desperately needs it.
Here am I, send me (Isaiah 6:8). AMEN!

For Reflection

  • How willing am I to GO where God needs me most?
  • In what ways is Jesus working through me to reach others right now?
  • Meditate upon Jesus working through His people today.

A song related to this theme:

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the great hope that the gospel & kingdom are for this world,
That in Christ you have done all that was needed to make all things new & right.
Jesus thank you that You work through me in this age of the poured-out Spirit,
To make the gospel & the Kingdom known.
Holy Spirit keep sending me forth in Jesus’ authority, anointing & power,
Help & strengthen me to witness effectively so that others might be reconciled to King Jesus & step into the kingdom.
This I ask in, & through, Your mighty Name.
