The Everlasting God

The everlasting eternal God, El-Olam, is our everlasting Father & also the King of the universe.
He is an everlasting King (Jeremiah 10:10) who reigns over an eternal kingdom (Isaiah 9:7).
The Lord of Lords & King of Kings (Deuteronomy 10:17; 1 Timothy 6:15). The ONE true & living God.
How awesome that the King of Kings is not distant & remote but up close & personal & intimate as our Father!

But the Lord is the true God;
He is the living God and the everlasting King.
At His wrath the earth will tremble,
And the nations will not be able to endure His indignation. Jeremiah 10:10 NKJV

In history mighty world leaders such as Pharaoh (Exodus) & Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel) have had to acknowledge the true & living God.
One day everyone will bow the knee (Romans 14:11; Philippians 2:10).
We who serve him know will do so with joy & gladness.
Those who reject Him now likely with great regret.
Either grudgingly or gladly it will happen for us all!
Gladly bow the knee today (Ephesians 3:14).
Surrender & submit to our Lord & King.

The sun shall no longer be your light by day,
Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you;
But the Lord will be to you an everlasting light,
And your God your glory. Isaiah 60:19

The truly amazing thing is that the everlasting God, who is the king of Kings & Lord of Lords, shares His glory with His people!!
His glory rises upon His people (Isaiah 60:1).
He is to us an everlasting light illuminating our path through life.
His awesome glorious presence will one day be perpetual light & glory for, & all around, us (Revelation 22:1-5).
The everlasting kingdom & New Creation revealed in all it’s great glory & splendour.
Once again how precious & priceless is that!
Hallelujah!! Maranatha!! Come Lord Jesus.

The everlasting eternal God El-Olam is an everlasting Father & King.
He is everlasting light for His people.
His glory rises upon His children & radiates through their lives.
Serve Him gladly & keep surrendering your lives unto Him.

For Reflection

  • In what ways am I experiencing the light & glory of the Lord?
  • Are there areas in my life where I need to bow the knee more fully?
  • Meditate on the light & glory of the Lord upon His people.

A song related to this theme:

Heavenly Father, Everlasting King
Thank you that Your light shines upon & through me,
And Your glory rises over & upon me.
Through the empowering presence of Your indwelling Spirit,
Teach me to keep humbling myself before you,
To keep offering my heart & bowing my knees in submission & surrender.
In Jesus mighty name,
