We are grateful to God for the wonderful ethnic mix across the body of Christ.
We celebrate that people from every tribe, tongue, people and nation are a part of the family of God (Revelation 5:9).
At this time we grieve with our black brothers and sisters across the globe, many of whom have suffered appalling and atrocious injustices.
As Christians, we are reminded that God has created all people in His image and that ‘in Christ’ there is neither Jew or Gentile, male or female, slave or free (Galatians 3:28).
As God’s Spirit filled people we rejoice that racial, cultural and ethnic diversity is a foundation of God’s kingdom and a beautiful consequence of the Holy Spirit’s work.
We stand in solidarity with people of colour everywhere. We lament with you; we pray with you.
As a church, ChristChurch Wrexham, commits to examining ourselves, our structures and our practices.
We commit to listening and learning, to pursuing justice and to being part of the solution to see the evil of racism eradicated from our society.
