Wars and Rumours of Wars
Our warfare is not of the physical kind against flesh & blood.
As sons & daughters of the Living God we are peacemakers (Matthew 5:9).
The battle belongs to the Lord & the victory has been secured in Christ.
The battle is the Lord’s but we also have a part to play.
The fight we take up is in prayer through spiritual warfare.
As soldiers in the Lord’s army we battle in the heavenly realms against the rebellious forces of darkness.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:10-13 NKJV
In prayer we battle against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness & spiritual hosts of wickedness.
The rebellious evil forces of Satan that drive mankind to the atrocities of war.
God is our strength & power in the midst of that spiritual battle.
We take up the FULL armour of God & we stand, & we persevere (keep standing), in prayer.
The constant cry on our hearts being the cry for the Kingdom’s peace, truth & justice to prevail.
Already there are stories circulating of miracles upon the physical battleground & front-line in Ukraine.
The Russian army is not advancing as quickly or easily as was anticipated.
Our prayers are making a difference. Alongside that the angels of God are making their mark!!
The enemy will intensify his efforts & so we must intensify our prayers.
Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you in your prayers & the groanings of intercession (Romans 8:26).
Pray that no weapon that is forged against Ukraine will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Pray that what the enemy intends for evil God will turn to good for the gospel (Romans 8:28).
Pray that Jesus will be lifted high over, & in, Ukraine (John 3:14-15).
Pray for a true & lasting peace & that the light of Christ might shine bright in the land of Ukraine.
Pray that lives will be spared & those fleeing to find safety & sanctuary would find safe passage & a friendly welcome.
The battle is the Lord’s, the victory is in Christ.
Let us be faithful upon the battle ground of persevering prevailing prayer.
PRAY, PRAY, PRAY for a miracle in our day.

Heavenly Father,
We thank you that the battle belongs to You O Lord,
We celebrate that the victory is in Christ alone.
Teach us to pray with wisdom, understanding & insight in this dark time in Europe.
Holy Spirit empower us in prayer as You groan through us in line with the Father’s will, word & ways.
Give us strength & power in our intercessions.
This we ask in the mighty, mighty Name of Jesus,
He who is the Victory of God.
