Fruitfulness is a divine mandate for humanity.
It was always the Father’s intention that mankind should be fruitful (Genesis 1:28).
In & through Jesus – The True Vine (John 15:1) – this is fully fulfilled.
The divine mandate is restored ‘In Christ’ & the Holy Spirit is the stimulator of fruit in our lives (Galatians 5:22-23).

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him,
bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered;
and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire,
and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified,
that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. John 15:5-8

The Father desires from us & designed us for fruitfulness.
Jesus is the root of the True Vine from which that fruit springs forth.
He provides the life-giving nutrients & sap that enable the fruit to grow.
The Spirit is the stimulator & producer of fruit in our lives.
The Godhead working in unity to bring forth fruitfulness in our lives.

The key for us is to abide ‘In Christ’.
To be always with Him practising the presence.
Staying in close & constant communion with Him.
Abide means to act in accordance with everything He instructs us.
As walk in full obedience we will produce fruit & fruit in abundance.

Fruitfulness is desired of us & we were designed for it.
As we abide with Christ that fruit will spring forth naturally & abundantly.
Wonderfully as it does so it glorifies the Father.
His fruit in our lives brings glory to His Great Name. So cool!!
Be being fruitful (fruitfulness is directly related to faithfulness) we fulfil our divine purpose & we will please the Father.
Hallelujah! That’s so, so good

For Reflection

  • In what ways am I abiding in & with Christ?
  • What is being pruned back right now & what is growing abundantly?
  • Meditate upon the fruitfulness & faithfulness.

A song related to this theme:

Heavenly Father,
Thank you that you are the expert vinedresser pruning & shaping me for fruitfulness.
Jesus thank you that You are the true vine & bring forth fruit in my life.
Holy Spirit keep me both faithful & fruitful,
That I may bear much fruit & glorify my Heavenly Father.
This I ask In Jesus mighty Name.
